Ghostwriting with Mr Content Asia
Led by Nigel Simmonds, M.Phil Creative Writing, Trinity College Dublin
At Mr Content Asia, we don’t just ghostwrite books—we excavate them.
Ghostwriting isn’t about putting words on a page. It’s about drawing out voice, texture, and truth, and transforming lived experience into literature with clarity, character, and intent.
Whether you’re a thought leader, a founder, or someone with a remarkable story, I help you shape the book only you could write—one scene at a time.

My Approach: Scene-Based, Guided, Collaborative
I don’t expect you to write your book. That’s my job.
What I need is your memory, honesty, and presence. I lead a structured, creative process that’s equal parts journalistic and emotional. Together, we build a manuscript that’s professional, publishable—and deeply personal.
The 7-Step Process
1. Discovery & Agreement
We begin with a conversation—online or in person.
We’ll talk about:
- Your story, goals, and audience
- The type of book (memoir, business, legacy, or something else)
- The book’s tone, format, and voice
We’ll also align on:
- Timeline, budget, and deliverables
- Ownership (you retain all rights)
- Confidentiality (NDA by default)
We finalize this in a clear, simple contract.
2. Immersion & Interviews
We don’t just interview—you’ll relive key moments.
I’ll guide you through long-form, recorded conversations, reviewing:
- Your past writing, talks, and documents
- Personal stories, turning points, and pivotal memories
- The cultural or business context that shaped you
You’ll also write—but only when I prompt you—with letters, memories, or reflections that serve the story.
3. Structure & Strategy
Once we have the raw material, I shape the structure:
- Chapter-by-chapter outline
- Narrative arcs and emotional pacing
- Themes, hooks, and message clarity
You’ll approve this roadmap before we begin drafting.
4. Writing & Rewriting
This is where I work in scene-first chapters.
I craft the book in your voice—cinematic, intimate, real. We collaborate on each draft, with 2–3 rounds of revision per section.
Together, we refine:
- Dialogue and sensory depth
- Tension, rhythm, and tone
- Meaningful transitions and flow
You’re involved—but never overwhelmed.
5. Polishing & Final Touches
Once the manuscript is complete, I bring in the finishers:
- Line editing and structural polish
- Copyediting and proofreading
- Cover copy, author bio, and front/back matter
What you get is publish-ready.
6. Publishing & Beyond
If you want to publish or pitch, I can support you with:
- Self-publishing setup (ISBNs, Amazon, formatting)
- Design (cover + layout through trusted partners)
- Agent submissions or book proposals
- Launch materials or PR support
7. Your Story, Your Name
Unless you want me credited, your name goes on the cover—full stop.
I respect your privacy, brand, and intellectual property. Everything is handled discreetly.
What You Should (and Shouldn’t) Do
Writing a book with me is not a grind. It’s not a word-count hustle. It’s not AI-generated fluff.
Here’s how to get the most from this process:
✅ Do:
- Be raw. Give me unfiltered truth—messy, emotional, unpolished. I’ll shape it.
- Trust the structure. We’ve agreed on a narrative arc. Let’s stick to it.
- Think backward. Start from the real, lived moments. Don’t rush to endings.
- Respond to prompts. When I ask for a scene, memory, or letter—just go there.
- Stay open. Great books come from honesty, not perfection.
❌ Don’t:
- Don’t count words. This isn’t NaNoWriMo. You don’t need a daily target.
- Don’t try to “write the book.” That’s my job. Yours is to remember and reflect.
- Don’t jump ahead. We’ll get there. Stay in the present scene.
- Don’t use ChatGPT to fill in gaps. I want you—not regurgitated text.
- Don’t overthink. I’ll guide, shape, and elevate. You just need to show up.
Let’s Tell Your Story
Whether it’s 40,000 or 100,000 words, a Bali-inspired novel or a business memoir, if it’s worth saying, I’ll help you say it better.
